Today, I’m going to take a look at Ant Network, another mobile application – currently only available for Android – that allows you to earn a new cryptocurrency called Ant Coin or ANTc by simply pushing a button once every 12 hours.

Ant Network launched in the second quarter of 2020 and launched their mobile-based mining in the first quarter of 2021.
Unlike many of the projects we looked at in the past, Ant Network’s ambitious plan includes the creation of a privacy-centered social media platform that in the long run should attract advertisers and create a situation where users are in control and gain rewards for seeing and interacting with ads.
While Ant Networks’ idea, in theory, sounds great, I personally don’t believe that the project has any chance of actually achieving that goal.
Any new social media platform nowadays would have to provide a big enough incentive and advantage for users of existing platforms like Facebook or YouTube to get enough users to migrate to their new platform.
This is something I don’t believe is possible right now, and, even if ANTc ever achieves a value, will likely lead to a situation where most of the current Ant Network users simply dump their coins but won’t start using the Social Media Network provided by Ant Network.
In my opinion, Ant Network is bound to fail, but that doesn’t mean that it’s not worth your time right now. Because, assuming that ANTc at some point can be exchanged into other cryptocurrencies or FIAT, you can still collect ANTc right now for free with almost no effort, and then profit from those coins by selling them if or when Ant Network and their ANTc tokens get listed on an exchange.
